London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) has been encouraging students to ‘stay designing, stay at home and save lives’, with the college vowing to keep productivity levels high whilst moving to virtual learning.
Recently, students have helped The National Algerian Centre charity and the NHS with a joint initiative to deliver food to staff in London hospitals. HND Graphic Design students showed their support by designing visuals to assist the campaign.
Inspiration was taken from the National Algerian Centre’s logo, which features a hand representing protection and solidarity. Using Adobe software, students designed the logo, website banners, volunteer badges and social media templates.
Imad Guenane, Head of Hospitality and Business at LCCA, said: “Focusing on the community is very important to me and the students.”
Jose Bolano Pinedo, Course Manager of HND Graphic Design and HND Game Development, said: “I’m very proud of my students who have once again shown their passion for design, and in this particular opportunity, their solidarity with the ones that need it the most. Keep designing, stay home, save lives.”
